Well, after so many rumours of the HTC One S and the HTC One X, one can hardly be surprised when HTC revealed their new flagship series called “HTC One”. HTC announced three of their new Android smartphones: the HTC One V, the slightly better specced HTC One S and the king of the One series, the HTC One X. The HTC One lineup is, in one word (pun intended), sexy. With their sleek unibody design and stunning displays, the HTC One lineup looks fantastic.
The HTC One X is the company’s first quad-core phone running Ice Cream Sandwich. Inside the thin unibody chassis, underneath the simply stunning 4.7-inch 1280-by-720-pixel Super LCD 2 display lies a 1.5 GHz quad core processor with 1GB RAM. Although there is no MicroSD slot, the phone packs 32 GB of storage. The phone itself weighs a mere 130g and has a front facing 3 MP camera, capable of shooting 720p video. On the back, it has an 8 MP camera with auto focus, smart LED flash, and BSI sensor (for better low-light captures), capable of capturing 1080p video. As expected, the phone has Beats audio integrated and is running the latest version of Sense (Sense 4.0). It has an 1800 mAh battery but there’s no word yet on the battery life.
The One S is HTC’s mid-level offering, with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display, and 16GB of internal storage. The One V is HTC entry-level phone with a 3.7 inch LCD display, a single-core 1GHz processor, 512 MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage. Like the HTC Desire and HTC Legend, the One V also has a small chin, making it easier to hold. The One V does not, however, have a front-facing camera. No word yet on pricing or availability but we’ll have more information soon.
