It seems South African carriers have let the cat out of the bag with details regarding the release of the Samsung Galaxy SIII. The next generation device looks to coming early Q3 or July of this year.
Virgin Mobile stated that it hopes to have the SIII available for sale in Q3 and Cell C gave a firmer date of July. Virgin Mobile spokesperson, Jonathan Newman, went on to say, “No pricing is available yet but it is likely to come in where the SGS2 was priced at launch.”
As Apple prepares it’s next big device, Samsung wants to beat them to the punch with it’s own cloud service up and running to perhaps take some of the wind out of the Cupertino company’s sails. Expect more details this spring as the launch date approaches, until then, it’s mostly rumour and speculation.
